Well the answer is Yes (unless you are using corporate
or preinstalled OEM version), Windows XP Pro and Home, will need
activated within 30 days or it will be disabled. If you reformat your
hard drive then you will also have to activate the operating system. You
can do this as many times as possible or needed on the same computer.
